To be honest, when I heard about DECO1800, I thought it will be harder than DECO1100, since it is a studio course requiring both web design and programming skills.
Based on what I know of this course, I expect to expand on my knowledge about the design process and learn it in detail this semester! What I like about DECO courses is brainstorming design ideas and working in a team to choose the best interactive idea, refine it, and then prototype it. I want to learn how to critique an idea in a positive way, as well as, learn javascript programming in detail. I had a look at Trove and I am worried about how we are going to use this site for our project. I am also worried about the programming skills we need for our project, since I am not good with programming, but I am good with both HTML and CSS.
I hope that this course is fun and interactive and I can overcome my weaknesses.
My expectation of this course is to gain more knowledge about the design and its processes and use the experience gained from previous courses, such as DECO1100 and DECO1400, to help in this course.
